    border-style:dashed;

    Hi
    I am creating a site where I am using border style on a couple of tables...this works fine in IE but not at all in NS4.7... is there a work around to this..

    I am also using css for text links this also works OK in IE but not NS4.7

    Thanks in advance for your help....

    Netscape 4.x has very limited support for CSS. The work around is to HIDE your stylesheet from netscape all together, IIRC.

    One of the other CSS guru's here can probably give you more details but I've not yet seen a CSS site that "looked" right in Netscape 4.x.. They display just fine, just look nothing like the nice layout you've created with CSS.

    Netscape's support for CSS border-style did not arrive until the release of Netscape 6.

    Similarly, Netscape 4 only supports the a:link and a:visited parts of the anchor pseudo-class.

    Afaik, there aren't any alternatives that will give the effects of those two attributes.
