Exclamation Using cookies to determine if user sees splash page or not

Alright, so I have a splash page. I want two links; Enter and Enter and always skip splash.

If the user decides to click Enter and always skip splash, I'd like a cookie set so whenever they come back to the site, it doesn't display splash page and instead directs them to the main website.

However, if they just click Enter, no cookie would be set. Is this possible?

I apologise in not providing an exact answer - but

What i can think of is an IP tracker, which is somehow chained to an automatic re-directer.

    Make any sense?

I've got something similar to this at my site - http://www.devilware.net - basically if the user clicks the checkbox and then clicks 'Skip Intro' it sets a JavaScript cookie to stop them seeing it again.

It's just a bit of code I downloaded from a JavaScript Website so it's not really my property - feel free to copy and use it if you want.

Thanks; I'll try that and see if it works.
