Just a small gripe, but subject headings in these forums like "Would you...?", or "Is this possible...?" get on my nerves. I'd prefer it if people gave a clue as to what their post was about, rather than try to sucker readers into clicking on the link. I wonder if other users feel the same?
I couldn't agree with you more. I know there are a lot of newbies around here who might not know what they are doing, but titling posts like "NEED HELP!!!!!! ****NEWBIE**** <<<<<<<" annoys me.
I also hate it when people use about 20-30 !!!!!!'s or ??????'s at the end of each title. Not only does it screw up the formatting on the front pages of the SitePoint Network, it seriously annoys me.
Same here...I always make a point to keep my titles specific...and I make a point to never use more than 2 or 3 "?"s or "!"s...depending on the situation.
I hate these too. Get to the point. "Newbie!!!!!!!!" is not a subject. It is an annoying word that means nothing. "I need help aligning images in Netscape" is much more precise.
