    Pls. check site w/ Windows

I'm building a personal site (a self-imposed design-training exercise) on a Mac. It looks right in NS and IE on the Mac, but I don't have a Windows box handy.

    Site is at:
    http://zahlaway.com

The résumé and writing sections are currently the only two that are done. My main concern is that the font sizes and table layout are adhering to my specs.

I have posted some screen-capture gifs for comparison against a live browser-check of fonts and layout. (I spliced tops and bottoms of pages, cutting out some of the middle, in order to cut down on image-file size.):

    Résumé:

    Writing-samples menu:

    Article page:

It's my first site, so any other feedback is also welcome. Thanks in advance.

Looks like your screen captures (on IE 5.5 Windows 2000).

    Nice clean design

Looks the same for me using Mozilla 1.1 on Windows 2000 and also using IE6 on the same OS. However, it's important to note that in IE6, I couldn't change the default font size. Let us call this your first "design sin." Mozilla users, however, don't have this problem because we use a feature called "text zoom." This means that regardless of what you set the initial text size to, we can always change it.

The second problem is that wherever you used the square-link design element , you required users to click on the 16x16 square. This is frustrating because of the small surface area, and you should expand the link to include all of the text next to the square as well.

Sorry, but if you want feedback on your site you will need to post in Website Reviews. Please make sure you complete good reviews of at least 3 other sites in that forum before you submit your request. Thanks.
