is this site just for women? if not, it might be useful and fun to able to sort threads by the gender.
in my opinion it is very good site and i like it
this what i would do to improve it :
a) Title of every date
b) Epic date of the week
I guess the "scandalous"-style is intentional with a site covering such a topicPersonally I feel a more tabloid-style layout could work even better for this subject. Something "cheap"-looking, but not too cheap. I think the keyword the design here should primarily convey is "gossip". There's a lot of possibilities in terms of design how you could take advantage of that association.
The different colors in navigation bar bug me a little bit. The first impression I got was "ok, so the 2 dark gray tabs are less important - are they connected somehow too because there's 2 of them and only 1 of each of the other colors?" If this is intentional, it works. If not, I'd probably use the same color for all navigation tabs.
The general layout works ok. Some more fitting imagery would spice up the content nicely though!
great idea and good site. The only thing I would consider changing is having smaller fonts for the menus, the content text is fine. It would be a little more elegant that way. Otherwise I think your on the right track.
I don't want to be a buzzkill but I remember someone tried making a similar website and it failed. How are you going to keep them coming back? YOur website is similar to FML which I think is still successful. Do you have a mobile version of your website or a mobile app even? Best of luck.

I think we are going to develop a game first to distribute-- and then the mobile apps once we get a bit more traffic.

i would suggest you to add some good dating script so those who got there dating failed they can try again.hehehe! Also the site looks nice!
funny site.. :-) better design would help... also, I would expect sorting options above the list, not hidden at the sitebar..
I like the concept it is good. We are using the same type of voting our site. You need some way to sort by number of votes. I agree with othersmale / female sorting would be good. What if you could upload a picture.

The site looks pretty nice so far.
My only comment is that I am not a big fan of the background image.
The transition from red to the pattern is too abrupt in my opinion.
Keep the red going for a bit longer, and all would be fine.

Very entertaining site - reminds me of the dating fail from the cheezburger network, some more pictures with the stories would add some more life to it, other than that I think that the site looks great.
I like your site. I think it has a great potential, of course if this is your original idea and is not some kind of copycat. Your main audience is certainly young people from 15 to 30. I think they will come back to read some more info and post their own stories. You should try to market your site in high schools, colleges and universities.
Somebody advised to make font smaller in menus, I agree. One more thing, I would remove the ad-sense entirely for now. You can put it back when you'll rich at least 150 hit a day. It will not hurt you because for now you don't earn money anyway. But without ad-sense your site will look more attractive.
Great idea. The content is very entertaining and the design is simple but appealing. I agree with the above posters regarding a title for each entry. You could allow each submission to include a title.
I love the idea, awesome! II feel like the top ad is a bit obtrusive where it is placed. The page width does not fit on my screen although I can see all of the content. I also feel like the submit a fail on the navigation bar should not be yellow. It seems to jump out more than the page you are actually on. I'd consider changing the top ad only on the homepage for a funny tagline and picture. Entertaining, great job.
You show icons for female/male fails on right side,
might be useful to use those in the items itself instead of text.
Or show female/male in blue/pink.
underline the female fails etc on the right side, they don't seem clickable at first.
epic dating fails doesn't say to me: these are the top fails.
change to top dating fails?
