Very simple community page

Hi,
I want to create some kind of community page on my wp site.
I've already checked simple press and bbpress but these plugins are too complicated.
I want something really simple and integrated with wp (especially it's users) - just posting and commenting and easy to implement into existing theme.
Do you have any idea what plugin I can use?

I've checked few options and finally decided on new 2.0 bbpress version. Looks nice and the shortcodes working great.
