Told ya already - www.geocities.com/webtekrocks/ - it is the definitive guide .

Other than that, one mentioned recently in the Flash forums here, while looking stunning, is utterly unusable: http://www.conspiracygames.com

Actually, just had a really good idea for ya. Do you have broadband @ the uni?

If you do, go to that second site (http://www.conspiracygames.com) and have them click around. On the bottom right is a little glass panel which when hovered over opens. Get them to click the button ....

They will discover they have 2 Minutes to find a certain thing on the site or it will kick them out....I guarantee the majority won't achieve it - seems the creators have a sense of irony about how pooh their usability is!!

Hi Nicky, I know your specifically looking for examples of bad web design. I'd also like to second the examples given at WebPagesThatSuck.com. If your students would like a list of what to do and not to do, Robin Williams has a very good tutorial at this link.

SitePoint also has two very good articles on the subject (as you probably know )...

    Good Website, Bad Website

& although some of the sites have changed, for some specific failures in web design...

    10 Sites That Bite

I'd give you the url of the first page I designed to use as an example, but I have a reputation to uphold

I second Michel on this one. webpagesthatsuck.com has a great repository of suck sites with bad design, including a new link everyday with The Daily Sucker.

Even more, Vincent Flanders has two books out which I highly recommend. Although they are probably borrowers, not buyers; since most stuff in there is common sense to any of the regulars here.

    -Scott

P.S. - I do not represent Vincent Flanders or his sites in any way that could provide monetary value to me, but you know I have to try and get in his will some way!
