Love, love, LOVE the CSS adjustments!![]()

I like most of the new styling, and I appreciate the amount of work that has gone into it. There's just one small point I'd make. Is it possible to change the order of the alternating colours in the thread list, so that the first one is white, not grey? The blue background on the stickies doesn't contrast greatly with the grey and I keep not noticing the first thread. I'm not colour-blind, and I suspect the problem would be worse for anybody who is.
Hope I've explained that OK - now I re-read it, it sounds clear as mud.![]()

It sounds perfectly clear, I know exactly what you mean!
Edit:
However, it can't be fixed quite the same... currently the style is based on odd / even rows (css3), the number of stickies actually affects this. So we could fix it now... but then in 2 days when a sticky disappears it'd be broken again![]()

Apologies for the double post - I didn't spot this until it was too late to edit my previous one.
In the "Design Your Site" forum, the "Just Starting Your Design" section has four stickies, so the first thread is an odd number and grey. In the "Graphics" section of the same forum, there are seven stickies, so the first thread is an even number and ...grey.![]()
I like the reduced height of thread list items. Thanks for that.
I dislike the the newly applied background color on .postbody. As the eye tends to be drawn to areas with greater contrast, it makes the post text slightly harder to focus upon. The background of quoted areas would be better darker rather than lighter IMO.
The zebra striping of thread lists I find distracting and unnecessary. The bold text of the thread title and the border provide sufficient separation. Striping is appropriate for use in tables with many row items, to associate the cells where there is a possibility of confusion, but the thread list does not require this.
The page is not responding well to reduced viewport width. At 1024px the ul that begins with "New Posts" wraps and sits directly over the breadcrumbs, making the breadcrumbs unclickable. Also, the upper pager intrudes into the announcements ol. (Safari and Firefox tested).
Is there any particular reason why the advertising box at the top of the page is 999px * 999px ?

There seems to be a lot of extra height in the ad at the top of the page. I get almost a blank screen as I scroll down, and I have a 1920 x 1080 monitor.
Each day is a learning experience.

Its a reported problem, I believe its one of the banners thats doing it.

One of the few forums I've seen that looks good with vB 4.1 haha
I personally dont like vB 4.x much, but looks and works great here. Nice job![]()
