    ASP server

    Hi Guys
    I am running w98 on my laptop and I have some how got a virus on my PWS I need to get another web server to run on my machine for ASP do you have any solutions

    I have deleted PWS and i need to know of a new server i can download so I can locally host my asp pages

    Don't be a fool.

    First, change your nick to something a bit more appropriate.

    Second, format your drive and re-install. There is no guarantee of safety after a rampant virus has been on your system.

    Third, only PWS and IIS run ASP, and they're mutually exclusive. You can't install one where another was... their tied to the OS you choose.

    I think wiping your entire hard drive just because you get a virus is a little drastic. It is possible to download virus/worm remover tools that completely get rid of the virus you have. The only reason you would need to reinstall is if the virus was a type that did damage to the system that couldn't be patched.
