    changing max number of connections

How would one restart MySQL in Linux with more connections than the 100 that is defaulted?

    Hi,

Look for /etc/my.cnf and then change...

    [mysqld]
    set-variable = max_connections=100

...to whatever you want, then restart MySQL. If that line isn't in there, just add it in. If /etc/my.cnf doesn't exist, you can create it.

    Best wishes,
    Simon.
