I am having trouble displaying the colours I want in photoshop, whatever color i choose it displays it in blacj and white, even if I uncheck grayscale. I also had this problem when I was using Fireworks MX. Could it be that my computer is responsible or do I need to tweak my settings where ever they are. I am new to these packages. Thanks in advance for your help..
I don't have a copy of Photoshop (sacrilege!), but if Paint Shop Pro is anything to go by, I expect that your default new image is being created with two colours.
Somewhere under a suitable menu option, there'll be an option to "increase colo(u)rs". Playing about with that should give you a broader pallet. If that doesn't work on its own, see if you can "edit pallet".
Failing that, get hold of an image that has lots of colours in it. Open it and do a "Save as" to some other file. Then do a "Select All" and "Delete". This should give you a blank image with a whole bunch of colours in your pallet
If that doesn't work, then you could always try reading the "Help"
