Video marketing, very simply, means creating online videos to promote your site/products/services, and hoping they become popular on YouTube. You will need software to create videos, but if you've got a video camera then you will probably already have that, at least in a basic form.

So I think just like other people said, Youtube is a good way to generate traffic, needn't to do much work and can get lots of traffic.
Yeah there is an important fact that if you want to promote your site by YouTube video then it is like a secondary promotion; but the fact you have to promote your YouTube video link; then why people usually do follow this tactics the fact is through the youtube video the competition become less. ANyway I don't really like this tactic. However, if the video is more similar to the content of your site then it is better.

Yes, video marketing is a good source to promote the website. You tube is the best source to promote it. There are millions of users who always find new products from You tube. So your video should be very creative and impressive.

Thanks for the advise Stevie! What video software would you suggest? I have Camtasia but never understands how to make use of its potential.

Tubemogul is a service that allows you to sign up, upload a video, and then publish it to all the best video sites like YouTube, Myspace Tv, Yahoo! Videos, StupidVideos, and many more. After you publish your video(s), TubeMogul will track them and show you your stats in your own customizable chart shown on your dashboard.

I like it better than other services like this because....

    1) It's completely free. Why should I have to pay for a service that publishes videos too FREE sites? Doesn't make since to me.
    2) It's easy to use. As easy as register, upload, and publish!
    3) Tracking. The charts are really easy to follow, and you can see exactly how your video has been doing.

You can promote your youtube video by clicking the share option, posting to bulletin boards on your profile, invite to subscribe, add more friends and using social media sites.

How do you work with YouTube as a medium? Are you creating videos yourself, using customers to submit theirs, working with others? What's your goal... traffic back to your site, video engagement, or video ad revenue?

The true value of YouTube is the sharing of your video by those that like it to others that may like it. It is trying to produce a video that can create some sort of buzz that will really enable you tap into the traffic potential. As of yet there isn’t a clear formula on what makes video go viral, although it is clear, that it must have something worth sharing, and it must be easily shareable which YouTube allows for. Some people create their initial buzz that allows for their videos to be listed among the popular newly created video viewed , and this could kick start the video popularity and traffic.

Video optimization is really useful for the promotion of your products or services. YouTube optimization can create big influence to your campaign if we handle it correctly and creatively. Video can be used to bring visitors to your site. One way to get users to view your video is to give it a catchy title that contains a related key phrase that is relevant to your product, service or brand.

A video in Youtube can give you very good results in your marketing strategy.
You do not need to make a video too professional, it is most important connect to with your target.
The funny videos work well, but if you use videos in your international marketing strategy, make sure that they are suitable for the country (the humor is very subjective at times).
