    MySQL/PHP/IIS start from scratch after failed attempt

    hi,

    I followed Kevin's tutorial on setting up Mysql/php on a win2k machine with IIS installed and don't know where everything went wrong, so I want to start again from scratch; what is the best way to do this? is it Ok to just uninstall IIS from the "add/remove software" dialog box and then install it again?

    and also, does it matter if i've been running ASP scripts locally prior to mysql/php installation?

    and also, is Apache recommended even on a win2k box or am i better stick with IIS?

    thanks

    No, just remove the two bits from IIS where you added PHP stuff in, which if I remember correctly are Home something and that Confirmation box thing. No need to remove IIS and reinstall it.

    Well running Apache with PHP wouldn't hurt infact I would recommend it, just be sure to set it up on a different port to your IIS to avoid conflicts.
    Oh no! the coots are eating my nodes!

    Yeah - just remove it

    If you want something that will work first time try either;

    or
