HELP using logo to watermark images

Hello, I have a company logo that I'm trying to use as a watermark for my photographs. I'm having trouble getting it to be transparent because its already colored. I would like for it to blend in with the item so its not taking away from the actual photograph. I would like for anyone to please help me out here. I have jpeg and png of the image. I have been working on this for over 2 days and I still can't figure it out.

Hi nwphew,

You could place the logo over part of the image and set the logo transparency right down in Photoshop. Does that make sense?

You could also convert it to grayscale, then put it in the image and make it transparent, making it blend better.

What you need to do is to have 2 layers in Photoshop. One layer for the photo, another layer for the logo on top of the photo layer. set the transparency of the logo layer to 20%-70%(depends how you want it)

You can use some software or add your watermark itself in a right corner of a image.
