    css layout problem- content drops with small screen

    Hi- Need a spot of help please.

    I have a problem with my css layout. I'm very new to using css instead of
    relying entirely on tables so I would really appreciate your help.

    www.bitsypix.com/sigs.html
    www.bitsypix.com/fractals.html

    When the screen goes below 800 x 640, or around there somewhere, the middle
    content (#content - style sheet here: www.bitsypix.com/bitsypix.css ) drops
    way out of site, apparently below the #nav element.
    This appears to only happen in IE as I've tested it in NN6.2, Moz 1.0 and Opera 6 and I get a scroll bar if necessary- rather than a complete drop.

    What should I do about that? I'd rather have it cause a scroll bar if
    anything.
    Thanks for your help!

    dont know but for what i see in your css, you have a fixed width + float:left in your #nav, so this will cause the #content to wrap down the nav bar if theres not enough room.

    you could try fixing a % width to the #nav or dont use float at all for it. use something like

    #nav {width: 180px; left:0px}
    #content { margin-left: 200px }

    and then put both inside another div
