Now webdesigners also need conditional comments for graphic drivers...

Ok, it's really no fun anymore
I thought when IE9 is out and less people use IE6/IE7 the stuff is getting easier...

But now there is hardware acceleration and there is no control over it cause
it's not just a browser setting it's also a graphics driver thing.

This time it looks like IE9 is the only one who does it right.
I have a sign on a site that i transform and IE9 shows everything sharp - no matter what graphics driver i use.
Fitness World Rodgau - Die Fitness-Clubs für alle aus Jügesheim, Dudenhofen, Nieder-Roden und Umgebung

In FX 5 with an old driver (no hardware acceleration) the font on the sign is rocky (or how you call it). With HA a little unsharp and fat.

In Chrome 12 the font is totally washed-out and the image of the woman with the weight is
    totally jagged.

In Opera the font is also to fat and washed-out.

In Safari 5.0.5 the font is rocky.

Then here: Konditionen - Fitness World - Ihr Fitness-Club in Nieder-Roden
The headings are thin in FX with HA and in Chrom and Safari not right.
Again only IE9 does it right...

So do we now need conditional comments for hardware acceleration, browser sniffing for HA and driver sniffing

You could save yourself a lot of pain by just rotating that image in Photophop and being done with it.

I meant the box at the bottom of the page, but I didn't look closely enough to see that there's live text there. All the same, you could do this as an image, and place it over the actual text so that the content is still accessible.
