They don't pay for backward compatibility. They should, but they wouldn't wear it, cos they don't know what a pain in the preverbials it is. They need educating (which is arguably part of our role) G
I know what you are talking about. But I have sat down with clients and given them a brief "education" on why this does what and blah blah blah. One guy just said, I want it and that's it. I then told him that there would be extra cost for extra coding, and he said he didn't care basically. I was still very cheap for him, but he knew why I had to charge more for the NN4 compatibility and was ok with that. I know this is rare, but still, you gotta try right?
