Including remote content using JavaScript

What are you trying to get from the included page? Variable data? Server data? HTML?

At first, straight HTML. It may need to be more complex than that as I develop the idea.

Maybe iframes would work. They are supported by IE4+ and NS6+, but not NS4 version browsers. I have not worked with them, but here is a link to a tutorial on the subject.

Thought about that. The trouble with iframes is that (I suspect) if someone moves somewhere else in the site then they close their session with the third party server, which could really irritate users as if the session data is lost they'll have to log in again. I'm hoping the SSI approach will negate that problem .....
