    How Can I Get Rid of the IE 6 Image Popup Thing?

    I've seen this done before on a few websites so I know it can be done, I just can't remember which ones. Does anybody know what needs to be added to an a href tag to prevent that thing that pops up when mousing over an image?

    It's the thing that has the icons to save, print, or e-mail? It must be either JavaScript or CSS that keeps it from popping up.

    Do you mean when you right-click on an image?

    No, it's this thing (see attached). There's a setting you can turn on it IE 6 to make it show this, but I want to be able to hide it even if the visitor has it turned on in their browser.

    OK I think I know the thing you are talking about, will confirm when the attachment is approved, but if it is what I am thinking of, there is no way that I am aware of to change the browsers preference. Can I ask why you want it off?

    I think it is deffinately one of those thing you simply have no control over... sorry...

    Actually, I just found out it can be removed with this:

    <meta content=no http-equiv=Imagetoolbar>

    I know it can be done another way though...without using a meta tag.

    BTW...What is up with the image verification thing? This is the first time I've seen this before out of all the forums I go to. Is SitePoint really that paranoid about people uploading porn or something? How ridiculous!

    A second way to get rid of the image bar was posted somewhere around here a while ago:

    place GALLERYIMG="no" into your IMAGE tag
