I was wondering for the longest time why the mysql service shuts down automatically.
here is a message from the event viewer:
note: message is displayed in mysql.err file because it didnt even reach that far - windows shut it down first.
i use php/mysql/apache on win2k
messagees in event viewer:
Application popup: mysqld-nt.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x0045a0fe" referenced memory at "0x20202020". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
The MySql service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.
what do u guys think?
these errors can actually be attributed to my sql statements that have the LIMIT 0,N keywords used. when a sql statement with LIMIT 0,N is used, this error shows up (sometimes!) how frustrating!
sounds to me that there is some kind of memory problem. is your memory in your machine ECC registered? if not it may be the problem because non-ECC registered memory usually has memory address gaps. i get similar errors sometimes when playing games or running MS Word. my memory is non ECC registered which makes me wonder if i get ECC registered memory would the problem go away. i do not know if it would but that is my logic to it.
