    bad pictures...

This isnt really as much a php question as it is a ftp question, but Its part of a php program, so I thought I would post it here.

I have this script that goes through a folder and reads each image in the directory, resizes it, and saves it elsewhere, then deletes the big picture to save space on server. The user puts the images up via ftp. Normaly I would make them a nice little web file form, but the guy is a photographer and will be uploading 100+ photos at a time (each photo roughly 4 megs) So doing a web form could be very tedious.

The guy uses a mac... (not sure if this has anything to do with it or not) and is using Hefty ftp

when he uploads the pictures off his comp, the script dosnt work, when I load them off mine they do. Both times they were JPG's. They just end up being blank or have lines throught the image? does the fact that hes using a mac have anything to do with it?

    thanx

How are you calling the images? If you are doing this based off of the client this could be causing your problem. Try calling the images from serverside and see what that does.

Simple way to check is to see if another mac user as any problems as well.
