    Jeremy,

Could you detail what the product is and why we shouldn't buy it? I've never heard of the product and your last post doesn't give any inclination as to why anyone shouldn't purchase that product.

Obviously, not refunding a credit card or honoring a money back guarantee is a serious problem, but what is it about the product that you don't like?

    Mmmm,

You don't say what the product is or how much it costs, did you get what you asked for in terms of the product ?

Why was the information out of date ?
Did you get a chance to sample the product ?
Why do you want your money back ?
Isn't everyone out to make a buck ?

Sorry but you don't provide enough information for my liking to attack the person involved. If you have a grevience then by all means take it up with them, if you get no satisfaction after a period of 1-3 months then come back and have a go at them.

It's a tad out of order to have a go without the facts being put forward, if they read your post I reckon they wouldn't be too amused.

Is there a link to the product that we may see for ourselves what it is?

    let me check

Let me read the NDA, to see if it has anything about that in the agreeement, he supposedly wanted to keep this "traffic miracle" sort of a secret, so that only a few people here and there found it. Again, not sure if this is just him selling it or not. I'll go see if I can get to the NDA, and read it. I'll post back here shortly.

If he sells the product on the internet then give us an address to it or stop whinging about it.
I find it laughable that you agreed to buy a product where the seller had a clause in it like you mention, why would he not want to advertise it as much as possible ?
If he was a dodgy operator and has conned you then I can't see what your moaning about, the warning signs are nearly always there.

He did, but since he can't tell us what it is, or why it didn't fulfill his expectations, I don't see what they "never deal with this guy again" speech is about.

I've got this forum member. He did this thing. It was bad. Don't talk to him.

    Hi,

    www.sidetracking.com

I purchased it as well, as he made it really sound like the most incredible thing in the world.

Maybe it works in the UK, but it involves lots of work and is not so easy.

I canĀ“t tell you either, what its about.

But I can tell you, that he is saying, that if you create pages with lots of content, search engines will pick it up and you will receive lots of visitors to the strangest keywords, as they are in the copy of your text.

There is some ideas, where to get the content, but everybody here knows, how it works.

By the way, I got my money back :-)

Here's hoping you get your cash back if your dissatisfied, I noticed the post above yours said they got money back so maybe there is hope.

If this guy will not honor his 30-day refund, why in the hell would you care about honoring the "non-disclosure clause"?

Testy bunch. I also bought it - and the product is quite lame.

Basically, he gives you a "secret" to getting more traffic to your site. Why did I buy it? Because I trusted him. I've been reading TC for a long time now and though his ideas weren't brilliant, they were all exactly what they said they were. Some were quick traffic gimmicks, some decent stuff you should already know.

This product he claimed was the holy grail (not his exact words I don't think) of web traffic. I know better than their being anything of the sort, but I figured if he's saying it's that good, it must be at least decent. I won't say what the secret is obviously. And the idea isn't bad, it's just not at all what he described.

In addition, I've since found other products he offers, like getting into any event with back stage passes and vip passes etc. He's a gimmick seller and I have no problem with that. I spent my 40 bucks, it was a lame product, and I waste more money on junk anyway. It was a good reminder of why I don't buy these kinds of things in the first place.

He never claimed he was in this to make sure I got all the traffic I wanted. I'm sure TC is a vehicle for Wayne to make money - and good for him! That's what the web is about.

Shame on me for being a sucker. Once, I can forgive myself. If I do it again, you guys smack me around a bit

I guess when you hype something up as much he does, then there is sure to be people who do not feel that the actual product meets the expectations that he creates in people's minds about his products.

I'm glad I didn't get sucked in by it, I also didn't really have the money to spend on it. That was prob the biggest contributing factor.

    Sidetracking site

Hello everybody. Somebody directed me to this page, and I thought I'd put my two cents in.

First, I couldn't really make out what the earlier posts
were saying exactly because portions were deleted or
    something.

But if the problem is refunds, I have a full-time customer
service employee and he automatically issues refunds for
everyone who requests it. I'm going to have a word with
him tomorrow, but this guy is straight as an arrow (he sings in a gospel quartet!), so I know for sure it's either
an oversight or Clickbank hasn't processed it yet or
something. But I haven't heard anything about it, so I
don't know the particulars. (Also, all you have to do is
contact Clickbank and they'll issue a refund without even
asking me. Seriously, they will do this independently of
us, so if you're having trouble, you can just contact
refunds@clickbank.com and they should take care of it. BTW,
I mention this on the website!)

As far as the usefulness or "lameness" of the sidetracking
idea, a lot of that depends on how web savvy you are.
I've gotten comments ranging from "absolutely brilliant!"
to "dude, that's pretty lame". I don't take either comment
too personally because people like you (who've studied a
lot about web marketing) might find the concept fairly
basic. Whereas people who would have never thought of this idea themselves may find it as awesome as I did. But even
so, I knew it wouldn't be for everybody, and that's fine.
That's why I've NEVER promoted any kind of product that
didn't have a no-questions-asked refund policy. If you
don't like something, just say so, and you get a refund.

I try to put stuff out there and try to make it as good
as I can, and hope the people who take a chance get something out of it. If they don't, well, thanks for looking
and here's your money back. That seems relatively painless
to me... as long as the refund system works.

So I'm VERY sorry if the original poster had problems or
some sort of misunderstanding related to refunds. It's
certainly not in my (or any other marketer's) interest to
make things difficult or risky, so I hate it when things
    like that happen.

But this kind of thing should be a warning to everybody.
You can make the product as good as you can, write the
cgi scripts as good as you can, explain the refund process
as good as you can, and hire the best customer service
person that you can... and still have one fall through the
cracks occasionally (and then come on to a public forum
and say bad things about you).

I realize that's the price of doing business on the web,
    but... sheesh!!!

    Wayne,

If that's you (personal details seem to suggest it is), my comments below still stand:
