Question about submitting subdomains to search engine

hi. i'm about ready to submit a site to a search engine. my only problem is that the site is on a subdomain and has nothing to do with the main website. will a search engine treat this as a seperate domain name? i'm so confused. thanks in advance

Might want to talk to aspen. He would probably have the answer to your question.

IT doesn't matter. Search engines treat things on a page by page basis anyways.

Hey aspen, I got a question, do SE put more weight on sites under a full domain. I've quiered google for many keywords and have never seen a freely hosted site appear in the top page of results so I somehow have a conclusion that google is biased against freely hosted sites.

Anyways I noticed many freely hosted sites with decent PR's of 5 and 6, I think google doesn't actually doesn't treat them that way, they only have those rank because the parent host has a very high PR.

Domain/free host does not matter for Google. The reason you find very little free hosts listed near the top is because sties on free hosts are usually.

    1. Not well made

    2. Don't have good content

    3. Aren't promoted at all

The reason you don't find them at the top of a listing is not because they are on a free host, but rather both being on a free host and being listed lowly are the result of the same thing: an amateur webmaster.
