    Wink Promoting rubberbands

Hello, just finished a site for a client and he wants me to find other stes to link to his site. I've submitted to the major search engines and dmoz. I'm not much of a fitness buff, does anyone know of some specialty directories that focus on excercise and healthy stuff like that?

Here's the site, any ideas will be appreciated...

    Thanks,

One way to find good partner sites or sites to exchange links with is find your competitors and sites that are similar to yours through Yahoo! or DMOZ: http://dmoz.org/Health/Fitness

Find appropriate sites and approach them about exchanging links and working out a deal. Most webmasters will be interested as long as you are candid and not spammy in your e-mail.

Thanks Marc, checking the unanswered topics list today are we?

I wonder if there are any fitness specific directories out there? Kind of like how there are about a million webmaster resources directories. I'd like to find some of those but for these rubberband thingies. I'll check out your link to dmoz and see if I can come up with something.

Thanks for your help, I was beginning to think no one cared

Ohh, I know of a site (can't think of the name but if you do a search on google I know you'll find it).. where they review all those "As Seen on TV" gadgets. Mostly they are gimmick diets and such, but the people there give honest reviews. Maybe your client could list his product there and get feedback on it?

Try searching for "Health Product Reviews" or "Exercise Equipment Reviews" something along those lines.

Our own SitePoint member "Cloughie" runs a bodybuilding site. Maybe you two could work out a link exchange?

Here are a couple of "directories of directories and search engines". If you search on medical/health-related keywords, you may find something...

Search Engine Guide search engines directory: http://www.searchengineguide.com/searchengines.html

    Invisibleweb: http://www.searchengineguide.com/searchengines.html

    Good luck!
