    submitting a .pl page?

Will a search engine index a dynamic page? I know there are problems with database driven pages like .asp and .cfm pages but what about a page that uses a perl script? (.pl) For example, I have a basic message board on one of my sites that ends in view.pl - will msn or google even touch it?

    Thanks..

As long as you have no active query string on the main page and that it is a index.pl it should be ok from what I know anyway.

I dont know alot But whenever I submit a .asp or .cfm it works the same as .html

The extension doesn't matter. What matters for some search engines is if you use a query string.

    http://www.yoursite.com/search.pl

    http://www.yoursite.com/search.html

    are both fine

    http://www.yoursite.com/search.pl?term=pink

    http://www.yoursite.com/search.html?term=pink

    are both not so fine.
