    Css applied to two columns

    I've a problem with the following page;
    Lloyds' List marine news 1793-1816
    I want to split the column of dates into two. However I can't see how to apply the css - secondly should I use css to position or a table?
    I confess that I just about understand the script but oviously not enough.
    Thanks

    You could split the whole thing into 2 div containers and float them, but i think its a little bit strange to split the navigation in two columns.

    Ah! -thanks. The reason for the two colums is that the user can use a split screen - the index to Lloyd's List is on a different site from mine - yes it's a bit odd :-)
