Pics are from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada

The cover's on the pool because it's cold today. Not cold enough to start building our iglo and seal clubbing though. Our 1 month summer is almost over so I had to get these pics taken before the 11 months of no sun start.

Hahaha. I realy don't understand the posters myself, they'er more of a space filler then anything.

naramation: Make one! Mine cost about $5 in total, just have to cut an oppening, cover the edge with some sort of trim, and then glue a piece of plexy glass to the back side.

    Talking

I am so loving these photos It's really neat to get a peek at lives and surrounds, especially so diverse.

Justin Sampson...ooo Nova Scotia! I've been having a real interest in the place and plan to visit next year, finances willing. Seeing no end in sight to the unfortunate fear of flying I've developed, it's my favored alternative to Europe as I can just drive up there, and I'll still get that "yay, I'm soooooo far from lousy home" feeling I'd love to see more photos of the place if you get any posted. At present I am restricted to drooling over the NS tourism package I just got in the mail.

My digital's on the fritz (that's what happens when you take it to clubs and have drinks spiled on it -- doh) but if I can wring some pix out of it I'll add some to this mix. I'm tempted to take a shot of my desk but you'd all be reeling in horror I know my life has really gone to seed when males have cleaner desks than me

Deffinitly come to N.S! It's actually a lot like Scottland (sp?) in terms of terrian, but it's usally not foggy here. If you do, you have to come to Cape Breton too! It's the best part of N.S. Lot's of parties (not night club type dances, but rather live fiddle/traditional music with dancers), there's the Fortress of Louisbourg (biggest historic reproduction in the World, it's a huge town completly rebuilt and filled with actors pretending to be residents, it's really fun place to go!), and finaly if you fallow the Cabot Trail you'll get to see everything!

I'll have a look for pictures too. I don't know if I have many pictures of the general area, you usally don't get to see the tourist type things when you live there.

    Found a few: http://www.sampsonwebdesign.com/2002_08_09/

I'll let you look through them yourself.

There's some of my little cottage, the St. Annes Bay (which is infront of my cottage), and a couple of the legendary Blue Nose II which happend to be in port when I went in town.

Mattias, of course we have caviar here But I've only ever seen it as little black eggs. Knew they made paste but never saw it before. I've never actually eaten caviar, it just doesn't sound appealing to me (fish eggs!!)...though I guess it must be something good considering it costs a fortune here.

Justin, wow, thanks for the great photos! Yes, it does look like Scotland, and that was in fact Nova Scotia's initial appeal to me. Funny you mention about Cape Breton and the trail because those were just where I was mentally aiming as I plan a trip there I will definitely check out the trad music and such, love that stuff I know what you mean about not having touristy pix when you live there...I only ever go to Baltimore's Inner Harbor when there's out of town company here At any rate I have always been much more interested in the real daily lives of local people than just seeing the tourist spots.

I am totally envious of you living where you do! The view of the bay actually looks quite a bit like a photo I took in the west of Ireland (my favorite place on Earth). To have such a place right outside your door...well I can only dream You are most fortunate.

Sorry if I've taken this too far to a travelogue thread, folks...a lot of these photos just have me dreaming of travelling again

    ~ Trish ~
