I am considering addr.com to host my web site. If any of you all have had or heard any good/bad things about them, let me know, because I don't want to sign up for a bad host.

I designed a site for a client hosted by them.. the seem decent. Although not lightning fast responses, they do respond in 24 hours, and we didn't encounter any major problems with them. Overall they seem a pretty good value, however the bandwidth is a little low. But, if your site can get by fine with that amount of bandwidth (and the average site can- average uses ~ just under 1 GB I belive) you could go ahead and give them a try. Good luck, and let us all know how it goes!
Thanks for your comments, Brian. I am also interested in using generalhosting.com. Is their bandwidth better? I'm not exactly familiar with bandwidth, what is it exactly? My site gets about a hundred visitors a day, so will addr.com work for it?

One more thing. The kind of host I'm looking for would be a steady host, charging less than $12 a month and no setup fees. If you could recommend any others for me, I'd be thankful. I already know about generalhosting.com and addr.com. Thanks all!

Hold up, I have hosted with Addr.com and they have lowsy Tech Support are unwilling to modify cname records it took them 2 months for them to change my cname records which takes all of but 2 seconds.
I would tell you not to choose addr.com although they offer low-cost hosting I would use Interland or the like.
If I personally were in the market for a host right now I would definitely take a look at this: http://super.olm.net/super/
It's a limited time offer by OLM, which I know to be a reliable hosting company and have heard they have good tech support.
Thanks everyone. Despite the fact that no one really liked addr.com, I decided to go along with them. Their prices are great and I was recommended to them by two good friends. Their tech support is decent from what I've seen as well.

Matt... CI Host is not connected with OLM in any way, other than the fact that they used to co-locate with them. I know OLM is at the "top of the food chain", but I believe WebAxxs might be owned by them. Not sure, though, but they do list the same address on the contact pages.
I have a website at WebAxxs.net.
They support PHP3, SSI, ColdFusion and Im paying 9,95/m. for 50mb. Also i can use SSL too. and only for 9,95. I cant say that WebAxxs is bad. That good for me.... also I've asked them, and seems soon I can upgrade my account to NT hosting. (I need ASP).
Well... it's cheap and works just fine.
Good Luck.
Thanks guys for all the suggestions and comments! I have decided to cancel my account with addr.com and use generalhosting.com. They offer 45 MB and more for only $7.95/month. Also, addr.com was having trouble transferring my sports-central.org domain to their servers, but generalhosting.com says they can do it. I am still trying to make sure addr.com doesn't charge me, because they shouldn't with their "30 day money back guarantee" they state, then I'll sign up for generalhosting.

WebAxxs resells OLM (but sometimes WebAxxs is cheaper...). Axxs (not WebAxxs) provides support for both (I think.). You can also trasfer between companies should you desire the other's features. CI Host is unrelated.
