Is there a way to remotely view SQL DB column names, datatype and properties?

I am using ASP, and would like to view how our existing DB tables are set-up. Is there a way to remotely view the dataypes and properties of each column?
    Thanks

what i think you're asking is how to programmatically query the structure (tables, fields, datatypes, etc) of your MS SQL database form your ASP code. in which case you'd want to look into SQL DMO which is a COM DLL you can access from your code. it provides an object oriented representation of the SQL server(s) i'm pretty sure there is good documentation on MSDN.Microsoft.com
