They will just be images, does that answer your question ? I would like to see how the effect happens before decorating it with the images, get the foundation working.

Don't worry about it - I won't waste either of our time then.

What are you saying, I can't put the BounceIn Effect into motion without the images ?

I'm saying that there's no point in my helping you to develop a bouncein effect without any images.

What if you don't like it, and decide to throw all of that work away. You will still need to update the image with whichever one is clicked on.

So, get that part done first. Start with the basics, and then use that as a base from which to try out different things.

But only when the basics are in place.

I'm guaranteed that I will keep this effect, the previous effect just didn't flow. I want to see the bounce effect in action, so it's concrete and from there I know that the images need to be applied, then continue on.

Good, so because it's not very useful to try and juggle with invisible balls, lets start with some test images so that some progress can be made.

The first thing to do is to use anchor links to link to the full-size image, and in the anchor to place the thumbnail of the image.

    For example:

    Code html4strict:
    <a href="image.png"><img src="image-thumb.png"></a>

That way, people without scripting get to the full-size image, and scripting can attach an onclick event to the link and easily gain access to the same full-size image information.

Page updated, one issue the trigger won't be on the DIV but on the navigation of the page.

Please link to the page when you want someone (like me for example) to be able to see it.

Okay, I presume that the navigation we're working with is the UL called "gallery"

Where are the large version of the images going to be shown?

    No ID#Nav.

Where are the large version of the images going to be shown?
    Within the ID#silhouette

    Okay, you've lost me.

Where are the thumbnail images that will be clicked on, to make the large version of that thumbnail appear on the page?

The ID#Nav will be the trigger that will cause the ID#silhouette to BounceOut/In and change images.

Where are the images that are put in to the silhouette, and how is it determined as to which image to use?

For the time being I'll be using place holders...
, and how is it determined as to which image to use?
That was my main question from the beginning regarding the script, how it will know which image to switch too !

What if I place the images inside the DIV and the script calls the appropriate image when needed ?

That sounds nice and easy until you try and work out how it will determine the appropriate image.

Your page previously used a flip animation on #silhouette. Have you decided against using the flip or has it just been temporarily removed?

I've decided against the flip on silhouette. I would like to visually see the BounceIn effect in motion, I know I will keep the BounceIn effect but I would still prefer to see it.
