I have the Schecter C1 Classic:

I love it. My acoustic guitar (which I play a lot more) is a Dean. I don't think they manke it anymore (it's not that good of a guitar), but it looks kinda like this one:

I don't know what I would do if I couldn't play guitar. Music is...I love music more than computers, put it that way.

That Schecter looks great - what does it play like? I've always liked their guitars.

I would say yes. The electric is easier to play in terms of "speed licks" and the like, but actually quite hard to control with finesse. Accoustic can be more forgiving, I would suggest nylon string to start with as well (which when played well is one of my favourite sounds) as many people are put off early by sore fingers...they aren't so bad on nylon.
    Cool, thanks for clarifiying

I LOVE how it plays. It's great. My friend has the Schecter C! Elite and it plays great too. But, out of all of the people I know with schecters, my dad's schecter plays the best. It has a neck like you wouldnt believe. It is the Schecter PT. Anyway, to answer your question, it plays like a dream. I also suggest elixers (schecters play best with them).

Can we also show off our amps in this thread? Mine is a Rivera M60 with a single Electrovoice 12" speaker. It sounds awesome, like it's on fire.

My fiance just started a guitar class, but uses one provided by the school(its old and beat up). I know she would like one to practice on. Any ideas on a good one to start off with? Or are the just basically the same?

    thanks

    Ohhhh no, no, no, no!!

I don't think you can beat this as a beginner guitar, presuming she's not learning classical:

They're not too expensive and they're really good instruments.
