how ebay makes money?

Hi there

I think I'm too dump to figure out how eBay makes money from ebay.com.

I'm not asking about paypal. I know that eBay owns paypal. I'm asking about ebay.com website only. It allow sellers to sell at any porice they wish witout asking for a procent of their sales. So how that website can make Money. I see no advertising besides on the first page.

Sellers do have to pay fees and those have gone up way too much. You pay to list the item and pay a percentage if sold. Go back and read all of theit terms.

Those fees have been around forever. Probably as long as ebay has existed. The only thing that has ever changed is that the fees continually go up.

As far as I know, since day one, ebay has made their money primarily through auction fees.

Hmmm....I guess you've never sold anything on Ebay before, otherwise you'd know they get paid a flat fee when you list your items and for any extras you purchase, and a percentage when your item sells.

Hi,

Ebay has list of products of all top companies and because those companies are getting order without marketing expenses so he can pay commission easily to ebay for each sale. According to me if you will think about procedure only then you can understand that from where ebay can earn.
