Posted this a month or two on another thread but here it is again... feel free to add me to your list.
AIM: ERadtkeTX
MSN: ERadtkeTX
ICQ: 81644051
You can catch me on MSN most of the time... occasionally you will find me on AIM or ICQ. I really dislike the interfaces and operation of the latter two.

ICQ: 34918471
What I'm curious about is, who has the shortest ICQ number?
The shortest I've ever seen is 5 digits, it's someone on my list.

I was just wondering... is there an option in vBulletin which will show in each post whether or not a user is currently online in ICQ? If so, would you ever think about enabling it? I would find that feature very useful.
I was also wondering why there is no field for a persons MSN or Odigo screen name in their user profile. Both of these IMs are highly popular (esp. MSNIM) so I don't see why they should be left out.

But then we should add Gooey and all the others too :-)

Well I don't think many people here use Gooey for communicating with others.
I think that a space for MSN should be given at any rate.

I only use ICQ because I think these programs take up too much RAM, especially on Win2k.

I don't use any of them unless I have to contact somebody urgently. Personally I find the Microsoft IM is more bug-free than the others and takes up less of my precious RAM.

ICQ uses loads of RAM compared to the others.
MSN IM uses very little RAM - the least of all that I know anyway.
I really think there should be some sort of an online flower thing that ICQ has on each post.
Also, I think that there should be a field for MSN IM since many people that post here at SitePoint use MSN IM.

I hade never really used Microsoft Messenger before last week, but it had got to the point where I wanted to throw ICQ out of the window
The only thing I dislike about it is the popups telling you about your Hotmail account.... I don't use my Hotmail account so these just get in the way.
BTW my MSN email address is nitegold@hotmail.com if you are thinking of adding me to your list....

You can disable those alerts. Just go to Tools: Options in the main MSN IM window, and play around there. I don't get any e-mail on my MSN IM account (activewm@hotmail.com) so it doesn't bother me.
An alternative to opening an empty Hotmail account is to open a Passport. You won't get e-mail from it.

Thanks Aidan!
Actually I don't use my Hotmail account either--in fact I have never used it--but currently it has about 400 messages in there from spammers and the like. Anyway that is all cleared up now that I have a new Passport account

Thanks Wayne, whenever I get some free time I will go through all my mail in that account and forward it to that address. I normally just delete spam, but the situation just keeps getting worse in my Hotmail account. I honestly don't know where it all comes from.
Thanks again!
