If you are serious about doing website work professionally, get a lawyer to draft an agreement for you. It's not that expensive and it pays for itself in the case of a dispute. Getting to know a good lawyer is essential anyways for the success of your business in the long term (make sure you also have a very good, reputable, in the know accountant).
I need to incorporate a business in the US while I live in Israel (I have a partner in the US)... Can anyone please forward me to a lawyer or a site with information about legal services or with documents please, thx =)
When I legally set up my business I did it all for free. I used the following resources:
1. local Business Venture (free business help advisors)
2. Government website for Tax and national insurance info
3. newly printed setting up your own business book
Thanks! I think I should mention that I'm in the UK, and that will affect what docs i can use obviously.
BTW, I'm just doing the web design for a bit of 'pocket money' now and again, it's probably not worth getting a lawer in, but I'll ask around and see if anyone I know is good friends with a lawyer so I can get it on the cheap
Optic - I am in the UK and I have a registered business. If you are just starting up a good place to go is your local Business Venture. Also check out http://www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/home.htm
lots of PDF files with useful info. Also all forms are available for download and you even get a tenner off if you file your tax return online!
