I will eventually blog when I can be bothered getting wokadoo.com up permanently
Seriously, whether you want to blog or not depends on how much of your life you want to let ppl into. Some ppl will never blog because they're very private. On the other hand, bloggers understand a lot of ppl are 'voyeurs' and are happy to let them in to have a little piece of their private life.

Jonese, that article inspired me
And BC, your right about some people being very private. But the way I think is this, most of the people who read my blog are either my friends, or people I will never meet

The only thing that is stopping me from making a blog is that my parents will read it every day. So no "I had to water the plants for 3 hours today because my dad made me" on m site. Only the shallow "Today was cool, I had fun and went to school and learned some neat stuff like history...my cat threw up...I made canned soup..." etc.
I could block their IP....hmm...:goes back to the drawing boards:

I guess that what I do qualifies as blogging.
I have a personal site that I just write little articles about whatever I want, mostly just my own thoughts about things.
I love to write, and I like learning how to be comfortable expressing myself in a public forum. (Even if nobody actually goes to my site)

LOL!
Maybe, while your writing your blog you could say something like: "I can't really write what I want, because my parents read this (hint hint mum and dad!)"
Would that work? Maybe then they would stop reading it.

About parents : I for one never tell them where my site is, and if they dare to visit, then I'll just have to configure my server to block access from their IP
(thank God for static IPs, otherwise I'd accidentally block myself out
)
Then again, there's some stuff that even if I blog, I wouldn't put on in case I offend some of my friends who would read it, etc. (e.g. your private dark side, sex, etc.)
Also I have a g/f who'd kill me

I've already a personal site: TriAxis. It may not look like it, but it's the only thing I'm really interested in and were I like to talk about. Sometimes my parents say that it's the only thing I can talk about
I'm really unpleasant to talk with if you don't like technology/computers/science, other things doesn't really interest me...
I'm strange, but I knew that!

I could easily block out my parents whole network (just .slackbarshinger.com would work) but I couldn't block from home because then I would be locked out or they could use this computer to access it.
And my friends, couldn't block them out. They wouldn't be as big of a problem if they saw it but trust me I've had days at school when everyone asks me how much I'm gonna make on the "Double you Double you Double you web dot com." And when people ask me how much money I made off of "rectangle-ish logo advertisingments." I could block all from .winnetka.k12.il.us which would be my school.
Then there's the AOL users (all my friends use AOL 'cept me) which I couldn't block out.
No blogging for me...unless I disguise myself but what's the point then?
