Oh he's one of those people. There was one certain person who was banned here I know who did it to me too (I don't say names).
But I went to look at his new design and it's less professional than the face of Bill Clinton. IE5 users click here, others click here. That's like saying smart people go here, weird people go here No really it shows he has not much experience.
I fully support you Hypertrophy cause I know how annoying such ppl can be.
That page is hillarious...he keeps ranting about his sister.

That may be just about the worst looking, but overall I'd call a crappy web design firm's site the worst...because they actually get paid and are *supposed* to be professionals.

Hehehe the I Kiss You! site was featured in so many magazines (like Time!). The guy who owned the page was even invited to the US by the president! I went to that site and there was nothing about it that even remotely interested me. I dont think it was hacked either..just a personal webpage.
I think there's a reason the profiles don't list ages: that's one of the beautfies (or horrors for some people) of the Internet. I personally know a few posters that might not be taken as seriously if their ages were widely known on these forums.
Besides, those who didn't want to reveal their ages would just leave the field blank anyway...

People judging by their age/sex/race is discrimination and is totally wrong. But, and that's really a shame, almost everyone does it. Therefore it's good that the profile asks things like country, website, etc.
It's just that if you knew the people that were publically squabbling were young you could make allowances for it.
I'm in awe of most of the younger posters to this forum, they are asking whether to learn PHP or ASP next while I'm trying to work out how to change the colour of a link. I think most people here are judged on their knowledge, attitude and helpfulness. Knowing more about the posters just makes it a little more human, which I think is a popular move if the 'where are you from?' thread is anything to go by.
I do apologise to everyone for bringing this hear. My age is no excuse.
However, I believe that Sitepoint, and everyone else for that matter, would like to know just what kind of people that you are doing business with.
A 'business' side that you put on once you recieve a client is all well and good, but how can the customer really know weither or not you are the right person/company for the job if you just show them this 'business' face.

As you can see I deleted a few out of line posts and edited content in another. Keep the topic on track and do not slander any other webmaster because everyone one of us has made websites we're not proud of anymore, but you have to start somewhere.
Yahoo.com for sure. I think it's worse when a company worth a couple of billion dollars doesn't update it's design even slightly in 5 years. Hello Yahoo! It's the 21st century now, wake up and get out of your 1995 clothes.

But I agree that Y! should update their design. They slightly changed the bar at the top some weeks ago.
But AltaVista on the other hand has redesigned its site several times in a short period of time. I liked the one before the one there is now best. But isn't it unprofessional to change the design so much? A company has to give their site a certain image. And than every two year a new design to get ppls attention would be nice. It also confuses a lot of ppl who just recently found how it works and than they come back and have to start all over again.
AV's current yellow (on my monitor) nav bar with orange, green, and blue links scheme is rather...glaring. Where are my shades?
I kind of like Yahoo's design - simple, nothing flashy, lets people get in, get what they need, and get out. On some of those SEs, it's hard to actually find a way to search for what you need.
