Question Who's better: FastClick or Burst! ?

I want to hear what people have to say. I'm currently with FastClick and thinking of a change.

You should run ads for more than one company. Burst is better for 468x60 ads, FastClick is better for Popunder ads (although Burst could be making a run for things with upcoming code changes).

I never knew I could sign-up for more than one ad company. I guess I never thought about it. I serve mostly 468x60 banners. The only pop-unders I have are on my error pages.

Should I switch to Burst! ?

    That's the big question.

Burst, since they have the potential to get targetted ads for your site, are potentially much much better.

I applied to Burst! last night and got accepted this morning.

Their rates are a lot higher than FastClick. So far it's looking great.

I just don't like their contract agreement. For the first 90 days it's a month-to-month agreement with 50% payout. FastClick didn't have any contracts and had a 65% payout.

Since I primarily use BURST! and Fastclick, allow me to comment. I use the 50% non-exclusive contract so I can have the freedom of using Fastclick, CJ, and selling my own ads on top of the banner networks. Don't be too turned off by the contract, you just have to make a big decision in regards to which is best for you.

By using multiple networks, you really can maximize your profits so you'll be glad you did this. I have BURST! using Fastclick for defaults for banners and I use Fastclick exclusively for popunders and get a good $2.5 CPM on them.

I don't know about the rates being much better on BURST!, though. Unless you run all those tacky popup/under campaigns, the pickings are slim as far as run-of-network selection goes. Most are CPC with a few CPM ads below $1 CPM.

I believe BURST!'s biggest problem is you can't control how much popups/unders occur for your visitors other than only selecting one or two campaigns. With Fastclick, you can limit the popunders to one per session and that is outstanding.

That's my two cents on these two. Let us know how it goes.
