Try seeding your forum. Also, are you advertising to get traffic?

Well, have either yourself or some friends (preferably more than one person) go in and start up some threads. Get the ball rolling (plant some seeds). Hopefully, anyone looking at your site will see a conversation they're interested in and de-lurk.

Of course, none of this would be useful if you don't have traffic.

Okay thanks for the advise, could you or anyone else also give me some suggestions as too which forums i should deduct as people say there are to many

Yep. Actually, just consolidate, no real need to "deduct" as you say. What I'd suggest is to consolidate each of your categories into a single forum. You will know when it's time to expand them again when new posts scroll off the page faster than people can read them.
