    Best way to add colour to a website??

    What is everybodies opinion on the best way to add color to a page.

    Right now I have a blank page with a blue table on the left with the nav menu and am just drawing a blank on how and where to add more colours.

    too much color is a bad thing and makes your site look like a cheap vegas casino.

    You'll usually want to limit yourself to 2 or 3 main colors, and you could use various shades of those 2 colors.

    The colors should be complementary. You read more about colors here:

    IMO knowledge of graphic design concepts such as color, line, shape, etc are a must for a professional website designer. Taking an introductory to graphic design class would be a good investment for anyone who makes websites.

    Yep, I took a Search Engine class there last session. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I think the instructors are pretty good (at least the ones I had). :-D

    I haven't used them, but have heard good things about http://eclecticacademy.com, so you might want to check them out as well.

    If you'r stuck for a color scheme, just look at some of the color schemes installed on your computer. Or would that be copyrighted?
