    Why won't text-decoration apply

    I am using the style sheet listed below and am attempting to text-decoration: none to remove underlined links but it is only working for the hover portion of the style sheet. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

    .tester { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; color: #FF0000}
    a:active { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; color: #FF0000}
    a:hover { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12.5px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; color: yellow}
    a:link { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; color: #FF0000}

    its working fine for me, I just noticed that you have'nt got an a:visited in your style sheet, so if you have allready clicked on the link then it may be the reason for the underline.

    try this,

    a {font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #FF0000
    }
    a:hover {font-size: 12.5px; font-weight: bold; color: yellow}
