    Unhappy phpMyAdmin not accepting new password

    I can't login to phpMyAdmin using my root password. I've just gone through the process of changing my root password as per these instructions:

    but when I try to login to phpMyAdmin I get:

    #1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

    Help!

    Looks like I inadvertently deleted the root login! Solved my own issue.
