Web frameworks for PHP

Dear Folks,

I am Python/Django Web developer and want to try out PHP for some of my projects. I started out using the Zend framework but find it a little complex compared to Django.

Are there any other popular Web frameworks for PHP that:

1. Have a large community of developers and mailing lists

2. Are well supported on a number of platforms and by hosting companies

Not all of them have an involved installation. Some just need the folder to be dropped somewhere.

Thank you force flow for you reply there are number of PHP frameworks that have spurred my interest and I will see which one I am most comfortable using.
