Moving Joomla to a new host

I have a friend that asked me to move her Joomla site to new hosting. Is this a difficult task with Joomla? What are the pitfalls. I've moved WordPress sites many times and know there are lots of issues.

    Thanks!

The process is pretty much the same, backup files + database

Upload new files to new host, import database and update config settings (paths etc)

It's usually very easy. Just make sure you get EVERYTHING copied.

I've always used Joomlapack (now Akeebabackup - http://www.akeebabackup.com/).
It's 530 people, but do you really get it?

We've moved a few of these sites lately. If you have issues after the move, try clearing the joomla cache and optimizing the mysql database from within PHPmyadmin.
