Is it worth getting my site professionally designed?

    Hi There,

Recently my boss offered my a decent sum of money to design a website for his business.
    It looks like this.

Should I now pay somebody to ensure that it is all correct? Or are there any free online programs that I can use to check my code?

    Thanks

If you are wanting your code to be valid code, you can go to http://validator.w3.org/ and validate the code.

As for validating your code, you will find some folks here don't, some do, and some use the validator tool as an error checker.

Using the validator tool as an error checker would help your code. You have a number of errors that may all clear up just by properly closing all your meta tags. Your Google verification meta tag is properly closed. Just start by changing all your meta tags from closing with a > to closing with a /> and then check your validation. That will let you find any real coding errors.

As for the look (design) of the site -- If the boss likes it, then use it. No need to change the design if it does what you want. I am not a designer, but it looks good to me.
Each day is a learning experience.

    The site seems pretty useless.

What is purpose of the site, from an objective stand point.

Nothing is very user friendly, and the entire thing is an assortment of information porn.

Also, the forms lack any type of validation. I just submitted some forms with nothing in them.
