    Is this Mozilla 1.0 bug ? (simple css example)

    I have created a very simple example and already have problems with Mozilla 1.0.

    this is my css file:

    body {
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    }

    #header {
    width: 100%;
    height: 100px;
    border: 1px solid #333;
    }

    Example site is here

    Mozilla 1.0 creates horizontal scroll bar. IE6 nor Opera 6 do not. Is this Mozilla bug?

    thanx in advance

    Mozilla is rendering the border outside of the content block, which is the appropriate behaviour of CSS. Since you've set the width of the content block to 100%, the actual width in Mozilla is (100% + 2px), and thus requires a scrollbar. IE and Opera, on the other hand, are rendering the content block + border at 100%, which seems to make more sense, however I think the Mozilla method is actually more strictly adherent to the standard. (I'm not 100% sure on that...)

    Thanks for your reply. You are right, Mozilla's rendering is actually the right one.
