    Wells Fargo hit?

While checking my GoDaddy Site Analytics this morning, I see that my website had a hit from this address...

    bp11mnsvdc-out.wellsfargo.co m

    What is that?!

And why is Wells Fargo snooping around my website? (I *hate* Wells Fargo!!!!!!)

    I'm feeling paranoid now...

It's probably just an office worker somewhere, and not necessarily the bank (as an entity) "snooping" on you.

According to Site Analytics, the IP was at my site for ZERO seconds.

BTW, I am get 10+ Zero-Second Visits each day lately.

    Are those bots?

Was that a Wells Fargo bot or something?

Appears nothing more then a user surfing around the web.
Wells Fargo isn't in the bot business I don't see why they would.

Maybe they are feeling threatened by my large corporate presence and have a hit-team to track me down...

Seriously, though, couldn't it be a department at Wells Fargo checking out people they perceive to be competition?

And if it was just an employee, why does GoDaddy's Site Analytics show the time they were on my site as 0:00 minutes?

Like I said earlier, I have been getting mainly traffic like that where the time on my site is 0:00. So I just assume that is crawlers or whatever.

Any ideas on that second point??

    I doubt that.

Depends. It may not have been able to get the actual time It is very fragile requires Javascript be active and a browser the supports or allows one to issues an onclose event. A lot of corporate firewalls actively block Javascript.

Is there any way to get a better handle on that?

I have been getting a fair amount of traffic like that from universities, state gov't, ISPs, etc and I just assumed it was their local crawlers.

Since the above list all comes in at 0:00 I assumed these weren't visitors.

If these are visitors, it's important for me to know...

Any website will have a smattering of the same results. It's nothing to be worried about or get worked up over.

Logic_earth is correct. You aren't going to be able to see 100% of the analytics data 100% of the time. You can use analytics for general trending, but you won't get specific information on every single visitor because of browser differences, security differences, firewall differences, etc, etc.
