For anyone still questioning the benefits of CSS layouts, I've just finished my first attempt at a CSS redesign of this page: http://www.lums.lancs.ac.uk/pages/Executive/
Here's what I've got so far: http://development.incutio.com/lums/
The HTML file size is down from 27KB to just 7KB, while visually the pages look pretty similar. The new version also looks nicer in lynx and should work a lot better in a screen reader. The only down side is that I've had to hide the styles from NS4 (it gets the document but looks pretty boring) - but siwht NS4 having recently celebrated it's fifth birthday I'm not really that bothered.
