Check out Google Apps for Schools.

Or if you use Active Directory, like me, I use WordPress with the LDAP Authentication Plugin. This should help you get started creating a network so that all your student blogs/sites can be managed (this step should be first before getting the LDAP plugin working!).

I also use these plugins to help me with the automatic blog creation:

I know there are others I use, I just can't remember what they are off hand. I had to do some customizing for some, so they won't be of any use to you.

Anyway, if you don't want all the work that goes along with WP, I suggest Google Apps for Schools.

A long time ago I came across this one: http://siteatschool.org/
Don't know if it is still being developed, and I don't know if it works well. The site looks very out of date

But, it says it does some of the things you're looking for. So you might want to check it out.

You are better off using WordPress MU if the students needs blogs because Google Apps do not have a blogging capability. Apps come with Sites but they are static.

I think you have to install Wordpress before you can install WPMU

If you're having trouble installing wordpress, try looking at the documentation on installing. Also, I'm assuming your native language is not English, so you might be able to find wordpress in your language.

And once more, after you've installed WordPress, you can read about creating a network or enabling MU.

    Good luck.

I think you will have less headaches if you follow the advice of some people here: go for WordPress MU.

    ismas,

If you are starting a blog for users to have their own blog, you need to really understand how WordPress works, have some understanding of the design aspect of it as well as have some knowledge of PHP so that you can support them if problems arise. Without at least a working knowledge these things, you are at a disadvantage and it could end up hurting you and your users in the long run.

That being said, here is a short list with lots of good stuff packed into them about working with WordPress, running a WPMU community, customizing your registration page, and more:
