    Aspen a question....

    I believe once upon a time while reading one of your many post you said that Google treats each page as an Island?
    I started to think that this would mean that Google doesn't care if the page is internal or external?? And if this is true then logically if I added additional pages to my site, that were interlinked then my PR should increase??

    Am I misguided in this?

    Somewhat.

    A link from a page with 0 or 1 pagerank isn't going to get you much benefit at all. So adding pages to your site can increase your PageRank, but what matters more is the overall ranking of the pages on your site, rather than the sheer number.

    And yes, the whole point of saying each page is an island is to illustrate the fact that internal links do count.

    well crap, I just checked Google and my site is now number 1 for pos software. Guess I shouldn't do anything
