Problem with Text Padding inside a table - hellllp

    hi,

i want my text's position to be on the right-center section of a cell, so i've made a style for that cell, making the padding-left at 700px, but it's messing the rest of my cells up

here's what it's look like before i'm applying the style to the cell containg the text that i want to move to the right:

and here's what happens after i apply the style, the cells above and below are getting messed up:

    can anyone help me??

    thanks!

It looks like you did this in Dreamweaver. Have you tried previewing it in a browser and seeing if there still is a problem?

Also another workaround you might want to try is to insert another table into that cell, give it a 700 padding and see what happens.

yes, i use DW, and it's still messed up in the preview, i tried to split the row with the text into 3 columns, and in the third row define padding, i think it's working fine, but isn't there a way to make the code shorter and just use the css on the whole cell?

So, you're applying the padding-left to the containing box/cell?
You might try setting the margin-left prop for the text itself (within a span tag). Haven't tested it but its woth a shot.
If your still having troubles, post the code so we can mess w/ it a little.
